Make your Commitment to Act
Join our collective mission to increase disability inclusion in UK business
For millions of colleagues and customers, inclusion can’t wait.
A truly inclusive business and workplace isn’t just a vision – it’s an urgent and achievable goal. At ActionAble 2025, along with our partners, we believe that transparency and leadership are two critical levers needed to close the disability inclusion gap and create workplaces where everyone can thrive.
This is your opportunity to join a collective commitment, not a pledge for pledging’s sake, but a clear set of actions designed to create impact where it matters most.
Your Commitment
By signing, you commit to at least one of the following actions:
- Report progress openly: Share your organisation‘s ambition for disability inclusion, and report publicly steps you’ve taken towards it annually. The key is to get started. It’s progression not perfection that we seek.
- Recruit inclusively: Look at the journey, from the day a potential hire visits your website, to interview, to their first day on the job. Make sure it is a level playing field, giving everyone a fair chance to excel. Ensure flexible work opportunities.
- Respect your employees’ voice: Enable employee networks which cover all angles of disability, ensure they have strong executive level sponsorship and be sure you regularly hear the colleagues’ voices at the Board.
- In addition to the three key actions you’re committing to outlined above, we also invite you to make an optional personal commitment to act. This is your opportunity to reflect on what meaningful change looks like for you – whether it’s championing disability inclusion in your workplace, advocating for accessible practices, or taking steps to educate yourself and others.
By taking action, you help set a new standard for disability inclusion in the UK workplace.
