About the role

As Principal of Rowley Hall Primary School at The Elliot Foundation, you will lead the school through an important next stage in its journey. Working alongside pupils, staff, families and colleagues across the Trust, you’ll bring stability, ambition and a clear focus on improving outcomes for every child.

Rowley Hall is a three-form entry primary school for more than 600 children from Nursery to Year 6 in Rowley Regis, Sandwell. It is a friendly, caring school with a strong community identity, where staff work together to nurture children, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of learning.

You’ll lead the school’s strategic direction while staying closely connected to day-to-day school life. From strengthening teaching, learning and curriculum, to building consistency, developing staff and deepening partnerships with families, you’ll play a visible role across every aspect of the school.

The school’s ambition is simple: “We fly high”. Academic achievement sits alongside physical and mental wellbeing, respect, relationships and personal development, with Rowley Hall’s Rights Respecting School status reflecting the importance placed on helping children become confident global citizens who make a positive contribution to society.

Currently led by an Acting Headteacher and supported by The Elliot Foundation, Rowley Hall serves a community with high levels of disadvantage and is working to build greater consistency following challenges in recent years. As Principal, you’ll build on the school’s strengths while helping shape a stable, ambitious and sustainable future.

As part of The Elliot Foundation, Rowley Hall retains its strong community identity while benefiting from the collaboration, expertise and specialist support of a wider family of schools.

about you

You’re an experienced primary school leader who understands that lasting improvement is built through relationships, consistency and high expectations.

You take time to understand the children, families and community you serve before deciding what needs to change. You’re as comfortable developing staff and future leaders as you are improving teaching, learning and outcomes, and you recognise that investing in people is fundamental to helping children succeed.

You’ll bring empathy, resilience and sound judgement, with the confidence to balance support and challenge while leading with integrity. You’re committed to creating an inclusive culture where every child feels they belong.

Above all, you believe great school leadership starts by putting children first. If you’re looking for the opportunity to lead a school with a strong sense of purpose, supported by a Trust that values collaboration while respecting each school’s unique identity, we’d love to hear from you.
